]]> The training brought together young women leaders and gender equality allies from diverse sectors to strengthen their leadership capacities, deepen their understanding of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agendas.

Through interactive learning sessions, peer mentorship, conflict analysis exercises, storytelling, and collaborative action planning, participants explored practical approaches to addressing pressing peace and security challenges affecting women, girls, and communities across Nigeria. The training also demonstrated the transformative power of peer learning, with former Young Women Leaders for Peace participants serving as facilitators and mentors for a new generation of young peacebuilders.

A key outcome of the training was the development of four community action plans focused on preventing youth recruitment into violence, responding to gender-based violence, promoting inclusive disaster recovery and accountability, and advancing safer schools and girls’ education.
