Barrister Margret Nwagbo

Margaret Nwagbo, a distinguished legal professional, holds a degree in law from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1979) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980. She joined FIDA Anambra in 1985 and became the Chairperson in 1996, where she spearheaded initiatives providing free legal aid and raising awareness of women’s rights at the grassroots level.

In 2011, Margaret became a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Mediators and Conciliators, eventually serving as the National Vice President. A staunch advocate for children’s rights, she joined the Child Protection Network in 2011, contributing to various trainings and serving on its Board of Trustees.

Margaret attended the pivotal Beijing Conference in 1995, advocating for women’s rights and participating in numerous international conferences. She also played a significant role in the West Africa Network of Peace Building (WANEP), serving as the Enugu branch coordinator and later as a Board member representing SE.Currently, she holds several key positions, including Member of the Board of Trustees for the Child Protection Network global advocates
