The meeting was further strengthened by the presence of the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Edo State, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing the Women, Peace and Security agenda at the state level.
Participants also engaged in breakout sessions to refine the Draft Edo State Action Plan on UNSCR 1325, offering innovative strategies for inclusion, coordination, and local ownership of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.
This process goes beyond paper it’s about people. It’s about building a peace infrastructure that is inclusive, localized, and owned by the communities it serves.
