Mr. Kabiru Kolawole Amusat

AMUSAT Kabiru Kolawole is a development expert of international repute who has made significant impacts spanning over two decades in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and community peace building across Nigeria. He is currently the Executive Director, Centre for Disaster Risk and Crisis Reduction, Nigeria and also plays key roles in some other reputable International and Local Organizations such Global Network of CSO for Disaster Reduction (GNDR), Climate and Sustainable Development Network (CSDevNet), Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development (CSCSD) among others. Amusat is an academic and a researcher with over 20 years of teaching and researching activities. His research areas include policy engagement, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, early warning early action, safe and resilient cities to mention a few. He has also published in many notable International and Local Journals. Amusat holds Master and Bachelor degrees from premier University of Ibadan and many professional certificates in different areas of Development Studies. He is also a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN). He has been a member and one of the stakeholders in WANEP-Nigeria (South West Zone) and has been contributing to peace building processes across communities in Nigeria.
