  • The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in collaboration with Kosofe School Based Management Committee (SBMC) in commemoration of the International Peace Day held a 1- day sensitization program on “Cultivating A Culture of Peace” for young boys at the Lagos State Special Correctional Centre For Boys Oregun on September 24, 2024.

The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in collaboration with Kosofe School Based Management Committee (SBMC) in commemoration of the International Peace Day held a 1- day sensitization program on “Cultivating A Culture of Peace” for young boys at the Lagos State Special Correctional Centre For Boys Oregun on September 24, 2024.

The young boys were informed about the relevance of the International Peace Day and the need for them to embrace non violent ways of resolving disputes and conflict rather than the use of violent. In attendance at the program were over 40 boys. The program was very participatory as the boys promised to embrace peace as a way of life.
