WANEP Nigeria paid an advocacy visit to @nileuni engaging the Department of Political Science and International Relations to explore strategic partnership opportunities on Youth, Peace and Security #yps.

January 16, 2026 wanep-nigeria No Comments Active Non Violence & Peace Education

During the visit, the WANEP Nigeria team met with the HOD and faculty members and held discussions on potential areas of collaboration. Key conversations focused on how WANEP can support students in bridging the gap between academic learning and practical, field-based peacebuilding work after graduation, including exposure to peace practice, skills development, and clear pathways into the peace and security sector.

The engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening youth capacity for peacebuilding through education, mentorship, and practical experience.
