The engagement brought together young people to discuss pressing peace and security challenges, collaborate on practical solutions, and strengthen youth participation in peacebuilding.

Participants explored issues including drug abuse and youth-related violence, misinformation, violent extremism, electoral tensions, and the exclusion of young people from decision-making and peace processes.

WANEP-Nigeria was represented at the engagement, reaffirming its commitment to supporting youth-led initiatives that advance the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda.

The initiative reinforced the importance of recognising young people as active contributors to conflict prevention and sustainable peace.
