WANEP-Nigeria, in partnership with the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), has trained 20 community leaders in Kebbi State to counter violence-inciting disinformation and strengthen community resilience against harmful narratives.
The two-day training, implemented under the European Union-funded project, “Countering Disinformation and Empowering Democracy in North-western Nigeria,” equipped participants with practical skills in fact-checking, conflict-sensitive communication, counter-narrative development, and early identification of harmful information.
