  • The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in Collaboration with Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) and funds from Global Affairs Canada held a 2- day Localization Training of Trainers Workshop for the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Resolutions in Nigeria on November 1-2, 2022.

The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in Collaboration with Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) and funds from Global Affairs Canada held a 2- day Localization Training of Trainers Workshop for the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Resolutions in Nigeria on November 1-2, 2022.

The program aimed to discuss the relevance of the WPS Resolutions and the Nigeria National Action Plan to local areas and identify concrete actions to implement them. As part of the program the Localization Guidelines for the implementation of the WPS Resolutions in Nigeria was validated. Over 30 participants comprising representatives of Federal and State Ministries of Women Affairs, Civil Society Organisations, WPS experts, media etc were in attendance at the program.
