The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria with Support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation ( NORAD) holds meeting with community women on promoting a culture of peace in Katagum, Azare LGA of Bauchi State, today September 16, 2021. The meeting which has over 35 women in attendance has a mixture of women from the teaching profession, politicians, farmers, civil Defense, police, entrepreneurs, health workers and representative of the wife of Local Government Chairman.

WANEP- Nigeria conducts avocacy visit to the Chairman Katagum LGA to present the Katagum Women Peacebuilders Executives to the Chairman. The Chairman pledge support to the women to ensure that their issues will be taken into consideration. The Local Government Authorities will partner with the women group to promote peace within communities.
