The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria in partnership with Nature Care Resource Centre (NCRC) and support from Urgent Action Fund Africa (UAF-Africa) carried out an advocacy visit to the Baale of Owode Ibese ( Rabaka Community) Ikorodu today October 20, 2021. The Baale who received the project team was delighted at the laudable initiative. He pledged his commitment towards ensuring that sand mining becomes impactful and women in Rabaka community are alleviated from poverty. According to him the women’s livelihood which majorly entails fishing and processing must be restored to enable women make credible contributions in the community.
